Meet the Doctors



Born in Morristown, New Jersey, Dr. Michael Kauf graduated from the University of Maryland in 1990 having earned the degrees of a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics. He then furthered his education by earning a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from the National College of Chiropractic, in Lombard, IL.

Dr. Kauf was a resident at the Chicago General Health Center in Chicago, IL where he completed his internship in 1995. There he worked closely with some of the nation’s finest doctors in the fields of orthopedic and rehabilitative medicine, neurology and radiology. An avid exercise enthusiast, Dr. Kauf previously was as a personal trainer to many clients, developing and supervising exercise programs, including weight training, cardiovascular training and nutritional counseling.

Dr. Kauf founded Chicago Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation with the premise of having many disciplines of physical medicine all under one roof. He assembled a team of board certified Medical Physicians specializing in pain management, Doctors of Physical Therapy, Chiropractors and massage therapists.Dr. Kauf’s mission is restoring patients to their optimal health utilizing the most beneficial, up-to-date medical practices and state-of-the-art physiotherapy modalities. He also utilizes the latest available technologies in disc and sciatica treatments called Spinal Decompression Therapy and K-Laser therapy. Dr. Kauf received his certification in both of these techniques so he is qualified and knowledgeable in creating an individualized treatment plan for every patient’s needs. Thomas Albert, M.D., is proud to be the lead physician at Chicagoland Men’s Health. Dr. Albert is a Board Certified internist, with a special interest in men’s health and musculoskeletal disorders.

Dr. Albert has enjoyed teaching medical students, nurses and residents as an associate professor of medicine at Loyola University’s Stritch School of Medicine and West Suburban Medical Centers Internal medicine’s Residency Program. Dr. Albert maintains membership in The American College of Physicians, and the American College of Sports Medicine.
